I am not getting the sun roof for 2 reasons; 1 the headroom and 2 to keep the cost down to keep by wife happy. Because a wise man once told me " A HAPPY WIFE A HAPPY LIFE" and I believe it. so I got the blessing to get the car so I will keep the cost down as much as possible. Now I need to choose stripes or no stripes, but I am leaning towards the stripes due to the fact I am going white with the black wheels and I do want to blackout the front and back. I just need a photoshop of that so I can drowl over it then I will say OK.

2) I really don't like the pop-up-type sunroof on CAMARO. My wifey's Malibu is the same design. I just don't like it. I understand, though, why I think GM did it that way on these two cars though, so while I don't hold it against them, I'll save that money

I'll take a stripe package and no sunroof
Read my other post #14. You CAN have best of both worlds.
You can keep the reverse mohawk roof if you order a webasto roof
and you get the benefit of it not being a pop up style. Its a full slider that does not extend the glass above the roof like the factory does.

1) You lose the reverse mowhawk. That's not cool. That's a must have for me. I like how it kinda' mirrors the bigger brother 'Vette in that way. If they somehow were able to keep it, I'd be that much closer. My two 4th Gens were T-Top cars and I LOVED them.

Exactly. And while I'm not crazy about vinyl, I'm ordering my ZL1 with the stripe package.

After much deliberation, I just feel that it looks more complete and fits the theme a little better with it, especially with the hood insert. Just my opinion though and I definitely see a lot of advantages in ordering the ZL1 without the vinyl stripe.

If available I will be getting a sunroof. My SS had a sunroof and I had no problem with head room and I'm 6'2...215lbs. Also having a sunroof seems like it will make my ZL1 more rare.

Side note: Do camaro5 members have unusually large heads? lol just kidding!

I am with you Shure, for me it completes the lines of the car with the mohawk!. My wife would prefer a painted on stripe, but with the additional cost of that from the onset I can forgo the cost and be happy with vinyl until we reach that bridge down the road..

The cure or work around for the large heads ( got ya.. beevo Lati got more head than he got body ) is simply lean the seat back. Its a work around that works well. I am 5'11" and 273 and it kinda "bugged" me when I first sat in the car with the roof. Just so happens whoever sat in the car before me was in "granny" position where the seat was so far forward your nose would it the windshield. Moved the seat back where I wanted it, and tilted the seat back a little. Was fine. Then I went to the car without the sun roof, moved the seat back before I sat in the car and it was like night and day. It "felt" like a considerable amount of difference to me even if it was just physiological.

Had the SR on my 2010 Camaro. I'm only 5'8" and I still would feel my hair rubbing the headliner. I'm gonna pass on both the SR and the strip.

Same here, the one with the moon roof I had to lower the seat way down! (I'm only 6'-1") I had one on my SS Cobalt and the wife's H3 has one as well, I don't need on my ZL1.
