Got a great compliment - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Ok. So I've had lots of people giving the thumbs up or complimenting my car but today I had a guy pull up next to me and ask me "Hey cool car. Wanna trade cars with me?"

He was in a black Mustang GT with a nice exhaust. Not sure what he was running but it definitely didn't sound stock.

I politely declined and we smiled and left

I've had a lot of compliments, more so when I first got my SS/RS since there were hardly none of the road yet. My two favorites were when a couple of kids aged maybe 10 and 12 wanted to have their pic taken with my car. When I suggested they have their pics taken while sitting IN the car I thought they were going to start crying they were so excited.

The other great compliment was from an old couple probably in their late 70's. I pulled into a restaurant and they were sitting at a booth together. The guy walked over to my table when they were leaving and said "young man, I don't know what kind of car that is but it sure is a handsome vehicle". Never heard anyone call a vehicle "handsome" but I sure appreciated the fact that an older guy like him would appreciate the styling of a new car.

I don't know, those Mustangs sound pretty damn good right out of the wrapper.

Haha, I got a compliment myself, just the other day from an elderly gentleman, except the fact it he told me I had a very nice Mustang and that he was jealous of it

What kind of car was he driving?

If it was a 2011 Audi A8 you should have said "Yes".

Then you could have sold it and bought a 2SS/RS and a ZL1 and had cash to spare for cross-country runs!
