When will Alpine release the KTX-CMO dash kit?

heard something that seemed to push it into 1st of year...don,t get hopes up..last month they had it at the show and it did not even work at all in there car..

getting a bit ridiculous on this thing…. Metra has had theirs out for what 2yrs now… Hell even the guys that turned the factory into DD had theirs working in less time than Alpine…

I really hope this thing comes out by the end of this yr or early next yr. But got a feeling it's probably all hype and "IF" we see it it won't be till late next yr (at the rate it keeps getting pushed back)

For me personally I am not ready to do the stereo yet, gradually piecing it together, so its not a big one for me as of yet. but even though the Alpine prototype looks amazing I will not be waiting for ever when i am ready to install especially for almost twice the price

My guess is never at this point. I'm going with the Metra kit.

I hate the metra's calculator look! But going with it.. Then I'll upgrade to alpine if it's ever released.

Yes, folks, the end is nigh. Alpine is officially now taking orders on the (overly) long awaited Camaro dash kit. They say

kits will be in the warehouse by mid-November. We are open to take orders beginning today.

As I mentioned before, they don't even have the ability to enter a part into their order system until they are pretty sure that the item is on the way. When they release memos to the reps that they CAN indeed order something, it's as sure as anything ever gets in mobile electronics at that point. So start lining up at your favorite local dealer and get yer deposits down.
The kits will include the Steering Wheel interface. The Onstar interface is separate, as they are guessing that a lot of Camaro owners won't necessarily care about keeping OnStar.


Now, also keep in mind, assuming no monkey wrenches are thrown into the works, and they DO show up in "mid November"...that "mid November", run through a Corporate Speak decoder ring, translates easily as the 18th...possibly even the 21st. Then they have to get checked in and then get broken out for shipping...plus time actually spent on the brown trucks heading to dealers, and you gots Thanksgiving in there, too. So, for East Coasters like me & my Florida friends, it may easily be very LATE November or even the 1st, 2nd, or 5th of December before we can actually lay our grubby little hands on them. So don't start harassing them on the 18th saying "why don't you have it yet?!?!?!" with murder in your eyes. lol We want it just as badly as you do.
