just brought my car in today. Apparently my front pads were cracked, both sides! The tech showed me the pads, pretty crazy how bad they were. Looked like spider cracks all the way through the pads. They also resurfaced the rotors and put new pads on. So far so good with the no squeeking

I have squeeking! I thought maybe my brakes are going bad on 17500 miles but looks like this is a common problem?

Might as well add me....took it in to the dealer for this, they said it was because of the steel pads. They ordered a new set for me, but I have yet to go have them installed. It's REALLY annoying to hear ALL the time.....

I get it when driving slow and breaking lightly, but no other time as of yet.

Does that qualify?

Mine has had the squeak for some time now. I have learned to live with it, but would be nice if it were gone...

i drove to work on Saturday and don't remember hearing anything. I was there about 3 1/2 hours as it started to rain. When i left my brakes were squeaking. i thought it was because of the rain since it was raining the weekend. i drove it around 1 am this morning and it was still squeaking. it was around 32 degrees at that time. don't know if either one had anything to do with the squeaking, but i really hope i don't need to get anything replaced to stop the squeak. i only have about 19,500 miles. It's not alot of stop and go miles either. i got it brand new and 5 days away from 1yr of owner ship.
