RainX
I applied RainX on my windshield, it works great. Anybody else try it?

Driving fast works better
!Honestly I don't like the stuff, it streaks to much for me. Maybe I am doing something wrong. Last edited by nyrfan; 10-05-2011 at 09:09 AM. |

I've used RainX for years on almost all my vehicles. I also like their washer fluid, both the winter and summer formulas. Not only does it repel water, but helps reduce and remove light frost and the bugs don't seem to smear as bad.

Why would you want to take off Rain-X?

The best way to apply RainX is to clean the glass, apply, repeat and then just wash and dry the car as you normally would. If you apply and try to remove the residue it just smears. I love the stuff.

This ^^ x1000. I have used Rain-X for a long time too. There is nothing better.

Love the stuff. Use it on all my windows. Don't use it on the inside.

Another user. Love it. If the winshield is perfectly clean before applying RainX then the job is very easy. I use Zaino Z-12 first and then I wipe the RainX on vertically and then horizontally. After it hazes I wipe it off with a cotton towel. After that I sprinkle some fresh water on the windshield and wipe it again. Voila, no streaking and a perfect look.

I like to freak out my passengers in the intense rain by not putting my wipers on after using rain-x. They always ask if I waxed my windshield.
I wonder if the fog-x is good for keeping the house windows from fogging up during the summer to winter season change. The period where its not hot enough for the heat to be on yet cool enough to give you a chill in the mornings. They usually fog over after a hot shower or boiling water for soup or pasta.

I don't like Rain-x. Instead I wax my windows with Zaino when I wax my car. It lasts longer and works better then Rain-x ever did.
