It's unlikely they slipped... But I mean, you got a lot of power but I've seen cars with more power and less tire not slip.

I'm betting it's the tranny. Heard that happen quite a bit! CONGRATS!!!

Thanks. Yeah, I knew it was the weak link in my set up. I was already planning to replace it this winter. I could just replace the clutch pack, but then it would just happen again down the road. Might as well put the beefier tranny in it now.

Are any of you going to the LSX Shootout in Indy this weekend? I think I saw that Mike was thinking of going. I'd like to go just to watch the races if I can work out my schedule.

Indy - My car won't be ready for participating; but I definitely want to go at least to look around. If my car isn't available, then probably won't go at all.

Jason wastes ALL of his posts being a smartass. it's all good if you just waste one.

(Jason, I know we stick together as smartasses, but I'm an equal opportunity ball buster. I just had to pick on ya )

End of that discussion.

I'm planning on going to LSX, but just as a spectator. I'm still learning how to drag race, would rather practice at Kil Kare than try to compete with a bunch of 1,000 hp machines on 16" slicks.

You guys are funny arguing about tracks and the $ per minute on the track. Damn, get your license and start racing competitively and you'll be talking about $ per second spent. Who says the drivers at Beaver Run don't know what they're doing? They may have way more experience than any of us.
I think a good driver would want to try out some different tracks and see the differences. Open track time sounds great. Would like to go to Beaver Run and try it out.

I think one day a year at Mid Ohio is enough for me, J-Mac's right, it tears the $#!T out of your tires, etc. So unless it becomes my job, I'll be happy with the 45 minutes or so we had on the track. Next year if it's dry, we'll be tearing it up even harder. It was fun to see everybody again and share some laughs about our experience. Tim (Monty Carlo) wants to come back, but he said he'll have his Firehawk ready for next year.

Can't wait to see these machines in action.
