Still waiting for my car. It's been sitting in the Chicago Heights railyard since Saturday night....

I just looked at GM Connects and it says 5000 Vehicle has been delivered to dealer. But the weird thing is that it's dated 9/23, which is the date it was invoiced to the dealer. I called my sales guy but got a voice mail. It's quite possible I could have my car today.

Mine is in! Got the news from Becky before my salesman even knew it was on the lot. GMConnect just updated to 5000 - from 2 days ago... lol - gotta love it. I took some quick pics in the back lot before I went in: (the Fuel Door and GFX package were not yet installed.)

Update.... This morning my car was at Wauhatchie, TN, now En Route to Waycross, GA as of 5:50pm. Did I mention that waycross is only 60 mi which is only 1 hr 11mins away from the dealership

Thanks to all... it was filthy - lol. But it's mine. My daughter doesn't like the stripes - she wanted just the regular hood stripes...

Had 12 miles on the odo. Someone in Newark must have taken it out during lunch. Hang in there everyone.

Went to go see my car tonight. It arrived at the dealer on Monday and I got the call from my salesman yesterday (even though I already knew). I went down there tonight (50 mins to an hour from my house) to apply for the loan and everything. The sales manager (friend of the family) let me see the car, which was being kept in a garage with about 11 or 12 other new Camaros (heaven!!). The key was in it, so I started it and played a bit. It was amazing to finally sit in MY car. After applying for the loan and talking a bit, I was offered a great deal on OnStar which I accepted- 42 months total OnStar service for $499 - the first 6 months are free of course (with directions), then 36 additional months of safe and sound protection. I thought it was a great deal! Comes out to only $14 a month which isn't bad. And now I don't have a monthly OnStar payment since I'll be paying it up front.

Anyway- picking the car up Friday afternoon, so excited!! Pics to come of course!!

I got mine today but I'm so exhausted from the whole buying/trading process that I'll post pics tomorrow. But it's a pretty hot car. It drives and rides so much better than the 2010. It's pretty awesome. It's my first M6 and it's much easier to shift than I anticipated. I hope the best for the rest of you that are still waiting.

Oh, and the stock exhaust sounds much better than my 2010 but I'm still getting a dealer installed Flowmaster axle-back exhaust system. And I was also a bit worried about the subwoofer, but it all sounds pretty awesome so I think I'll just leave things as they are. I'm still pondering whether or not to get Heritage stripes on the sides, but I might just leave that alone as well. I think it looks good enough as-is.

Here's my morning agony (no, not the Brewers). I thought for sure I would have gotten a call from the dealer yesterday. Nothing. I left two voicemails asking for a status. No returned calls. So, I called GM and they said the car had been dealer traded to Birmingham, AL and was back on the train (currently in Ohio). I'm hoping the gal at GM looked up the wrong car...

Ouch, Well mine hit the rail road, made it to Toronto yesterday at 11:21am and hasn't moved since, with no eta of departure. :(
