I'd be up for that.

Wait: They were allowing burn outs? Cruises like Vinton have outlawed them (not that I want to shred $600 worth of tires)

I agree, next year we need to have a place to meet outside of the fairgrounds. I went on the whole cruise from Ankeny to the main gate of the fairgounds, but it looked to dirty and crowded to enter, so just headed back to Des Moines without stopping. They had the biggest turnout in Stratford that I have ever seen, it took over 1/2 hour just to get out of town (and I was only 8 cars off the main street. I saw several 5th gens, but didn't get to speak to any. I'll be looking to meet some of you at this months Camaro show at the 5 & Diner (sure hope the weather holds, I don't have any snow tires to install !!!!!).

Who's going to the All Camaro Car Show on the 22nd in Des Moines?

And where do you want to meet up to drive down there?

Hey Nitro, Hrd_Wrk is just using a Cold Air Induction system from Cold Air Inductions, Inc.

I'll be there. I live near Ames so it isn't too far from me. I could meet up with you guys somewhere in Ames. Maybe exit 113 I-35 or somewhere near Hwy. 30. Post up some ideas!

I painted my front emblem last night. I will post some pictures up after I get the clearcoat on and have it back on the car. I am thinking I want to do something more with it but I will talk it over with you guys at some point.

Hey guys, question for you. I have some tires arriving tomorrow and I wanted to know if any of you recommend any place to get them done. I'm not sure if having a 20" rims requires certain certifications or not but I want them done right and without any damage. I used to just take my tires to Walmart and have them mount them but that was with my previous vehicles. So what say you? Thanks.

If you want my honest opinion Jason, next time you're over here in Cedar Falls, bring them over the "Big Al" and the gang at Priority One on University Avenue.

If not, I'd take it to a reputable Goodyear dealer near you and WATCH them.

Still have those winter rims and tires if you want them too.

Cruise to the Woods had a great turnout and was awesome weather! I stood and watch burnouts at the first turn out of town and was there for one and a half hours. They used to do them on the North side of town but that got shut down by the police.

I don't have a car to show but hear ya about some of the things people were saying. I know meeting in Stratford isn't the biggest deal but is part of the whole experience. It is neat to see all the cars cruise along, but can understand it is slow going, etc. If you wanted to get all gen 5s together you should meet up before Stratford, so that way you all cruise to town together and should all get parked together.

If you all meet before Stratford you should all end up together in town, on the cruise and up at the show in Fort Dodge. Otherwise, as suggested meeting in the state park would be a good way to get all Gen5s together and head into FD.

To get the nicer space near the entrance of the fairgrounds you would have to skip Stratford and the cruise and head right for FD. If you did that you would want to all meet up somewhere and head in together.

I can talk about the few mods at the Oct 22 show. Best Rt is not real relevent (had a 0.03 RT), more so is being consistently low .15s or better are decent.

Gotta go,

Tim
Have fun and good luck !! As usual ,wish I was there, but gotta work.
