I'd certainly lean towards agreeing with your sentiments aleast 50% of the time.......

I think the reason people latch onto white, silver, and black are because most people like to blend into the crowd. These are all very bland colors.

In addition to that, generally speaking, most cars are offered in very bland color palettes. I think a lot of manufacturers (toyota comes to mind) have a very specific customer base. This is why you'll never see an Inferno Orange Metallic Toyota. Because the types of people who buy Toyota's, don't have any desire to drive an orange, loud, ostentatious car.

Funny you mention bland.................if white were on one end of the color spectrum and black on the other ...........Shades of Grey, blend in somewhere in the middle.

Well I wasn't referring to the visible color spectrum, so please don't go into a diatribe about what end of the visible light spectrum those colors reside on, or what wavelength they are.

Visually speaking, white, silver, and black are very bland colors compared to inferno orange metallic, and synergy green metallic. All you need to discern this is the observation of ones eyes, not wikipedia.

I'm not knocking on anyone who owns a white, silver, or black car. Because frankly, those are all hot colors on the Camaro. White Camaro with IOM stripes? Ummm yeah, that is pure sex.

See, that's what I'm talking about, Casper. There's a lot of personality in those stripes, gives it a very unique look. You started with white, but you sure didn't end there.

Bingo.

When the majority of Americans consider this heap of laughable garbage to be an acceptable car...

...color choices become very limited.

White is probably my least favorite color. It's too "rental car" or "delivery truck" for me.

White is what the postman drives. Silver is always going to be my favorite. Sleek, elite, professional and easy to keep clean.
