Becky I was told today also there is a promblem with the stripes for the 45th annidersary edition . Having trouble with the vendor my car has been built on 9/14/2011 still waiting for the car . Dealer told me today his GM Rep told him it is waiting for stripes. car has been setting bayed for 15 days order #pvnxwz THANKS

This seems to be the answer when given by GM Plant and the local Dealership. I will be 3 weeks delayed because of these stripes !

Although I've not heard that officially from anyone, I have 2 cars sitting for 26 days now, another for about 2 weeks. Might be some truth to it

If I knew there was going to be a stripe shortage, I'd have ordered it with the 45th Stripe Delete.....

Becky I have a question, I want to get a stripe delete on the 45th AE but have been told by local dealers that the only way to do that is to remove the stripes when it comes in... so I think they just don't know how to place the order with out them... I plan on going in on Saturday to place the order... I would hate to have my car bayed for something I'm going to remove... thanks!!!

When they order the car, the Stripe Delete is an option they can add. The RPO code is DX3. You won't get the value of the stripes deducted from the price of the package though. If you build a 45th on Chevrolet.com, it has the option there as well.

Hmmm.... So I wonder if these constraints are what has affected me getting a proper order number and status on my CTH?

BTW, thanks again for your email Becky! I'm not sure exactly what date it was ordered though so I'm not sure if/when the constraint might apply :(
