Hey guys, so update got my tuner/tune updated and installed....

The car REaallly woke up now and feels greaaat !! never felt such pull in 2nd and 3rd gear its nuts! Lol

Just a few things got me worried... i installed the premium fuel tune and the Vararam adaption. The car is surging really weird if i hold rpms at 1000 or 1500.... its crazy jumping all over the place , making the car buckle or surge when in parking lots having to rev it up a bit to get going doesn't feel/sound good at all it sounds like its missing or something.

Also when driving anywhere from 1-2000rpms it feels like its hesitating as well really weird. 6th gear when at 90-100 cruising ill give little throttle and let off and itll unwind from like tranny then give a weird thud like its backfiring lol, I'm talking to tech and hes going to let me know tomorrow hopefully on a update or something , i want it fixed lol.

Should i un-tune it??

** i dont know if this is right but do you think the vmax tb might be causing issues cause it wasnt tuned for that airflow ??

Heres a video i took and the shaking while videoing is the actual car

This one looks pretty nice as well...
The G-tech is apparantly an excellent device from what I've read. Very accurate.

Re-tune it... You didn't have happen to accidentally change any of the revs did you? I know when I was curious checking through some settings that I did things I didn't want to. Reset it and start over and see what happens.

Went for a drive today... This car is feeling amazing! I never thought it was going to be this big of a difference. So pumped on how it's turned out. I'm ready to find out what times I can run, feels like it's launching really well.

I took the tune off and tried it again stock felt perfect, I put tune back in it did it right away again, I don't know what the issue is ... Kinda tripping me out lol. The car feels like a beast though with it on and I'm going to the track tomorow night and going to run tune either way , ill post times i have a best of 14.8 at 95 so far Lol hoping to get that way down...

Hypertech is working on it as we speak though so hopefully it'll be done tomorow

I know exactly what you are describing Victory. I've brought this up with Hypertech a few times and have always just been told to update. I still have this issue too. Hopefully you have more luck with it than I've had. Let us know what if they are able to resolve this for you.

I have the Ingen long tube CAI and MRT v2.0. I recently did a dyno pull (no TQ #'s) as was disappointed at how low it was even for an automatic. Several folks suggested I was possibly running lean.

Would the Hypertech tuner help with this? When it says it tunes for the various intakes, what exactly is it tuning or correcting for? Basically, before I spend over $300 for this, am I going to see any benefits other than a firmer shift which seems to be the main positive from reviews here?

Thanks.

How much it actually helps as far as the intake you have... I'm not entirely sure, because I saw so many changes at once. The tune mostly likely changes the fuel ratios depending on the type of intake it is, helping everything to work together and run smoother.

Has it helped over all? Greatly!

I'll kinda go in order of what I noticed:

-Ran premium fuel for 8 days before the tune, noticed a difference.
-Installed tune actual tune, set it for premium fuel, set it for my Airaid V2 intake, and started to feel more power as if everything was working together.
-Next firmed up the shiftness, went for a long day of driving, and noticed power throughout all RPM's.
-Its been a week or more since the tune, and I feel like I have a new car... It really wakes everything up to its full potential.

On their website, it says:

Quote:
Speedometer\Odometer Correction For Gears 2.56, 2.73, 3.08, 3.23, 3.42, 3.73, 4.10, 4.56, 4.88 & 5.13
I don't see 3.55 gears on there, which, as far as I know, are the only gears that we can get for our V6 and is what I'm planning on getting. Does anybody know if it supports the correction for the 3.55 gears?

One more question. I have also had a Trifecta tune, when I got my headers w/ the hi-flow cats. Will this tuner overwrite what has already been done?

Cool

Here is a report on both the hypertech program and the VMAX throttle body I installed to day.
Togeather they both help each other.
Lag is 99% gone, could still feel just a little betty lag.
Has more horse power thru all gears and shifts faster. Also down shift feel better. Remember I have a A6.

Stopped at a 4 way stop, that is kind of out in the county. No one else around. Took the old foot off the brake and hit the gas all the way to the floor. Tires were smoken then it caught trackion, then I heard a thud that was the car shiftin to second, and the tires spun againn and when they caught trackion car went to the side a little. I let off after that.

All togeather I am really happy with both this mods. well worth the money.
And, That is all I have to say about that.
