They switched from paddles to buttons on the Camaro.
It's always been buttons to my knowledge. Those tabs with the "+" and "-" on them have always been there. The are tabs connected to the top of the stoke, they are stationary. The real buttons are located just below the tabs, on the reverse of the spoke... correct me if I'm wrong please.

Very nice pictures, and story.

Not at all. I really liked it and to be honest you dont manage to think about it to much because when you look at the exterior, you forget about the interior, and when you are in the interior, you forget about the exterior. It seemed more balanced than over powering if you ask me.

I live in Diamond Bar/ Walnut area. I was actually in the city of Fullerton when I got to see the Camaro. I love the Valley, I heard recently that they had a Camaro in Hollywood. Camino Real Chevy in Monterey Park will get some Camaros soon. Maybe you can check them out there if you dont manage to find them around your area.

Talking about the paddle shifters. Those things look deceiving. When I first saw them, I was thinking that those things are like Lexus Paddle Shifters, but its more for show rather than usage. When you want to use those paddle shifters, there is a button behind it which you have to press. I got to press both of them, but to be honest, I dont see myself using them when I get my car.

Good write up. The pics are as good as the iPhone can do. I'd expect the IOM really looks bright in the sun.

Great story! And something that hasn't been mentioned yet, but you've got a really cool friend that would call you when he spotted this car so you could dash over to see it. Nice to see the excitement building over this car.

instead of havig the buttons, i wouldve rathered them have the stick be able to shift, it feels more like standard that way, do you know what i mean?
Im getting stick anyways, cant wait to see a completeIOM 2LT/RS with the IOM panels, maybe ill just have to wait til mine gets here, CGM stripes is going to look killer on this car!

I think Chapman turns into Malvern. It was Gilbert St., on the corner I guess.
