School Homework doesn't always have to be bad

My son is in 4th grade and every night he has to read for 20mins. He reads aloud to me Camaro 5, Camaro Performance, Motortrend, RC cars, and etc ever night. Just received the new Camaro Performance and he started reading to me nonstop at dinner. Who needs a Nook when you have a 10 year old to read to you.

I remember those days....

I'd sit on the couch in the living room and turn the page about every min or two not reading a thing until the 20-30 minutes were over.

I turned out just fine.

Good deal! I recall reading my dad's magazines while he was busy working on cars.

Not so fast , one day , a nutcase teacher or the principal will come out of the wood work and say that you are the reason for all the bad things that happened to him/her and that your kid knows more than him/her about cars and things that go fast , you better have a COUSIN VINY type a lawyer !

I am sitting here doing homework and dreaming about my Camaro (which is in the shop). Wish I could combine the two in Grad School!
