First off, the car I want is the Camaro. However IF I had the money, this is what I'd be intrested in also
Mustang Bullitt edition Challenger (but only with manual transmission) Audi R8 Mazda RX-7 1970 Charger |

I've been sold on the Camaro since the day the show car was unveiled. And so far haven't seen any reason to go for anything else. If by some weird wacky chance the Camaro doesn't live up to my expectations or is priced too high, I'd give the Hyundai Genesis Coupe a look if it's out by then, or the restyled Mustang. If Nissan brings back the 240SX around that time as it's been rumored, and the car gets RWD, I'd also give that a look-see.

I don't know where I saw it, but I saw that the Cobalt was gonna get turbo charged next year. I don't know if it was a special order thing or limited edition, but I saw it somewhere. I'll see if I can find it again.
http://www.leftlanenews.com/chevrolet-cobalt-ss.html It's not the same exact article, but you get the point... Last edited by Dunk31; 01-10-2008 at 08:17 PM. Reason: link |

As someone else said (Dragon I think), short of a natural disaster I'll get a Camaro (4th one). I can't imagine anything being bad enough to make me not want it.
Now if the Camaro wasn't coming back... There's nothing in the 'sporty car' category I like really. So I'd check out- Pontiac G8 Chrysler 300 Dodge Avenger R/T Yep, that's about it for cars I REALLY like enough to own. |

I'm very set on getting my all black 5th Gen. However if the god's see fit to kill it before production my option is BMW 6 series or (don't kill me) a Jaguar XKR. I know they are on oppisite ends of the spectrum...but alot of similarities, V8, RWD coupe. Just more luxury but still very powerfull. Those are my back ups. Whadda ya think?

Oo I like topics like these.
Honestly I'm planning to buy another car within a few months. Looking into some old Dodge Chargers.. Some Camaros\Trans Ams as well. I'm not much on Mopar and honestly I think I'm going to end up with getting a 78 Camaro like the first on in Transformers, fixing it up.. Possibly a 82 Camaro if not. (the IROC) maybe put a small block 400 in it.. a radical small block . Fully tub it, tube chassis, and it will be a drag racing car for San Antonio raceway.

If something terrible happens along the way and I end up being turned off by the Camaro (unlikely), I'll get either a 350z, a Mustang, a 35th anniversary SS, a 'Vette, a Challenger, a GTO, a Charger, a G8, or whatever else is appealing to me at the time. Like I said, unlikely.

It's been a while since I've seen this thread, but I think I said I'd rather buy a used, low mile 4th Gen SS. What can I say? I Love'em.
BUT....BUT....BUT.....NEW DEVELOPMENT!!! I'd have to say that the G8 would now be in my sights. Yup....think this would be the one for me. |

I'd love to see the next G6 on a RWD platform with styling and interior treatments similar to the G8. That would be more in line with what I'd want... |
