Well I'm going to think positive and believe it will be ok! lol As long as it's not raining it will be fine. Now it can rain and storm all it wants once I'm at home because I love me some good rain and storms, however for this cruise no. I like winter and snow (B's sis just got snow out in Colorado) and lots of fall leaves so whatever as long as there is no rain although the rain can be fun to drive in. I'm sure whatever we are given we can all deal with.

Remember... It is a rain/shine event. Most areas it doesn't matter. Sure it won't be much of a cruise but the stops and dinner are not weather affected!

don't bump the times up to early or I'll have to bail...remember us "north" guy are driving 3+ hours already to get there (mapquest shows me at 3 hours 31minutes)...to be there & ready to leave at 9:15, I'd have to leave my place around 5:45 in the morning

I called Der Dutchman and got "call ahead seating" for 30 people on Sat, Oct 22 @ 4:00 under the name Heinz. If the actual headcount is different, we can call Saturday morning and change it.

I did NOT reserve one of their banquet rooms since at a cost of $349 I guessed most people would prefer not to spend extra money for a separate room.

Der Dutchman in Plain City is a big place. I think the main dining area is fine. We go there a couple of times a year. Their food is great. Save room for a piece of pie!

Yea, not much sympathy coming from me

Looking forward to seeing ya. Didn't get to hang out to much at MidOhio.

do we need a new thread to discuss work hours!?
Work from 6:30-4:00 m-f and on call 24/7/365! Oh how I love 3am phone calls from the lab about how my engines aren't running right!

Looking forward to hanging out for sure!

Wwddnnone, thank you for checking out the route! To answer your questions:

1. I can go either way on the B-17 museum - consensus rules
2. I'd like to do the historic cavern tour, since I've been there before and already did the basic one. Also, with our couple of geologists, it should be extra informative!
3. If we do the historic tour, I'm OK with skipping Zane Caverns.

Heinz - thanks for making reservations!
