Can always just change the mufflers out if going FI.

Holy crap man, your car is going to be so loud they will hear you coming from the next County over ...

Hi! For those who own the American Thunder, didn't you have any issue because of the 3" pipes? is it easy fit? I was really considering buying Borla s type but the AT is really cheaper and sounds really good!
Is this system compatible with the automatic?
Thnx!

I've got the American Thunder cat back, and don't have anything I would classify as drone. Drone means different things to different people, so take it with a grain of salt I guess. It has a nice tone, relatively deep, but a little on the quiet side to be honest. It's a great exhaust if you want your car to sound like it has some balls, but not alert every cop within a three mile radius whenever you stomp on the throttle.

No issues with the 3 inch pipes.

OP, I'm also looking at the flowmaster AT. I found online prices to be about $650 shipped, and a local muffler/mod shop charges $150 for installation, thus about $800 total. I was going to call 2edge, but not anymore, thank you for letting me know that they are too expensive lol

These mufflers are 564 dlls (100 dlls less than anywhere) on Amazon.com, but I donīt really know if exhaust is a good thing to order from them...

Check out my thread in here. I got the Outlaw axle back. 450 shipped and paid 150 for install. No regrets. ;-)

I had flowmaster AT on my v6 and loved the sound it was perfect for me. So with my 2SSRS L99 I have decided to to go with the same system but, I can't decide to go with the cat back or the axle back. I"m going to leave the AFM on for now. Does anyone have a video of a stock L99 with axle vs catback? Or firsthand knowledge?

Thanks for any info.

DROPIMP - Good question! The 3" pipes fit fine on the Camaro even though they are larger than stock.

Gamma105 - Your question came at a good time. We just got the 2012 Camaro information and all the 2011 Camaro kits carry forward to the coresponding 2012 Camaros. So the Flowmaster American Thunder for the 2011 SS will fit great on the 2012 SS.

My Camaro has the same specs as yours. I installed a Corsa cat back system this spring. It sounds great on acceleration and not to loud when cruising. Great system.
