2012 camaro colors

There were early 2012 Color Charts done BEFORE the tsunami caused paint chip problems. Because this chart is using the older name, Crystal Red Tintcoat instead of the newer name Crystal Red Claret, I am wondering if this is the original older chart?

I c... I just haven't seen any that dark of a red on the road but then again there aren't many red ones here anyway mostly yellow and black. either way I will be getting the Crystal Red Tintcoat for it is as close as i can get to Candy Apple Red.

All of those pictures are from when the ZL1 was introduced in Chicago in April. They are all Victory Red. But I admit, they look more like Crystal Red in some pictures than the Victory Red.

Crystal Red is currently on Corvettes, Cruze and Cadillacs. Possibly a few others.

Indeed but those pics also look photoshopped to me. but i dunno anything about imaging I just see what is obvious and assume it is the red crystal but i believe you are right. in some pics it is brighter and some darker which makes it very hard to tell what color it really is

Not that I have seen yet. I had to go to a dealer and have them park a Crystal Red Cruze next to a Victory Red Camaro to see the comparison difference. I am hoping for some official GM photos soon since they brought out pictures of the Ashen Gray ZL1 convertible.

In all seriousness does the color red really influence the insurance premium? does it go up if the car color is red?

They did something to the actual photographs, not sure what it was, but it definitely changed the color in a few shots. I have been looking very hard but I have not found any pictures of a Crystal Red Camaro anywhere.

I have heard people say that the color of the car can and sometimes will raise the premiums on your ins. but i have never been able to discover the truth.. I dont want to dream of getting a red ZL1 and then call my agent and he says your ins. premium will be 200 a month...
