I recommend intake first if you have a LS3. If you have any other, I'd probably go exhaust first...

3" Magnaflow cat-back would be a nice place to start. BTW, save your money on those shorty headers you have planned. Get a set of Kooks long tubes. Much beter return on your investment.

Intake. It's worth it for the performance gains and it will change your exhaust note. Trust me.
