I'll have to look, but i MIGHT have a CGM breather laying around.

Thinking.about that swirl, my wife just reminded me that I never unwrapped any of it, so maybe it was like that. The truth is, I guess I don't know.

AS for the textured look, that is the bubble wrap leaving that on the paint. Probably still a little moist when packed.
Yeah that is what happened...I like it I think they need to offer the option!

There are plenty of threads that have posted the dyno numbers. The gains at the top end were around 4 - 5 HP and same for Torque.

However the low end torque from 2000 - 5500 rpm's is where the bigger gains were made.

Tracy talks about the hose that runs to the CAI. Is he saying to cap that off coming out of the PCV on the drivers side and cap of the outlet coming out of the CAI since the breather cap is on it now?

Yes, and on the one on the passenger side, pull the hose off, and either drill out the tiny hole on the fitting or replace it with a quarter inch threaded elbow.

Now I have No clue what your talking about .

I thought we were on the drivers side where the big rubber hose goes on your Cai from the motor.

This is from his instructions:

If using the optional breather kit, depending on the style of CAI you have installed
capping the fresh air tube to prevent clean-side ingestion will vary.
Here are some tips, but you will need to be creative as well:
I went to lowes tonight, found some very good fitting 1/4" Gray plastic plugs in the isle with the
long pvc pipe, area of a bunch of gray 1/4,3/4,1", etc fittings of all type 2 x .57 = $1.14.
I removed the long pipe (with the oil catch can for lack of a better description), may as well
remove it, so it's not in the way flopping around.
Inserted plug into rubber tube coming off the intake on drivers side.
Inserted other plug into rubber tube on drivers side near the firewall on top of valve cover.
I zip tied it in place, to prevent it from rattling off now that they aren't connected to anything.
No cutting necessary and i can revert back to stock at any time.
There was definately oil in the tube, not much but it was there.
Pic 1 : part no. for plugs. 2 of them.
Pic 2 : Remove unnecessary stock tube and can.
Pic 3 : Stock tube capped off at the stock intake.
Pic 4 : Stock tube near firewall capped off, drivers side, under the cheap gray back engine cover.
