Went to go order a 2SS (Price gouging) - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

So I went to go order a Imperial Blue 2SS at Salisbury Chevrolet in Glenville, New York.

Despite the fact the dealer has allocations left to order them, the salesperson told me not to bother unless I plan on paying heavily over sticker since the first Camaros they get are going up on eBay.

Should I:

Order one anyway to get a place in "line"?

Try a different dealership? The guy told me if I go to another dealer and they take my money they are going to be doing the same thing and aren't telling me the truth.

I just placed my order today and I got the MSRP in the paper, with all my options in it along with a receipt with my deposit already deducted from the final price of the car.

They did tell me MSRP might go up a bit with the price change but nothing I should worry about.

Having it in writing doesn't help anything because it doesn't mean anything, but it'll atleast let the dealer know where you stand.

Atleast that dealership is a stand up business in that they had the courtesy of telling you they were selling over MSRP right off the bat.
