Hi Guys, you can get hold of Pebeo's Setaskrib+ Pen Dyes on ebay from a UK Seller, who sells globally. seller is aarjart. click on link to see what colours they have in their store.

http://stores.ebay.co.uk/aarjart__W0...&submit=Search

The dye is permanent and will penetrate into the stitching so wont wear off and gives great results, any excess, overspill is easilly wiped off whilst wet. Loving the photos of similar attempts. The results are great.

i tried this with red and its HORRIBLE!

for cars wanting yellow stitching i imagine it will be fine but red was baaad! i used acrylic paint and mixed it with water so it will seep into the stitch. It looked pinkish it wasnt a dark enough red and took FOREVER to do!

So i decided to keep trying and i got a dye penn exactly like jennchuck but the pen said it was red but i have not seen anything pinker haha and i mean a bright pink. luckily i only did one stitch to try.

im going to try a different dye pen brand and if that fails also then i will black out the stitching which luckily will look great also.

mike2ss. how much did it run on you?. when i did mine it kinda went on thick and some obviously got on the leather, i wiped it off after i did like 6 to 12 inches with a damp rag. but mine by no means was running on me at all.
garybee great job with the sharpie. there is no way i could have done it with a sharpie my hand is not that steady by any means. the pen dye allows you to put in one and get some on other material and it will wipe right off of other material while still staying on the thread.

Please do! Just curious how long it will last on the driver's seat since that generally is the only place a butt is!

Edding 4500

Did mine with Edding 4500 Textile Markers. Very easy. Just pass the pen on the stich and whipe out excess with a paper towel. Took about 1 hour to do the seats, steering, consol and door harmrest.

It can easily be done for textile seats in black.

Very cheap, about 5,00$.

cloth stitching

i really think its gonna last a long. if you see your seat the stitching is all the way on the otter edges so you wont really be rubbing on it at all only when you get in and get out of the car. check my pics. they look red but if you look closely its actually orange color. i think they came out good. let me know what you think.
