Ehh. Test drove a 2011, hated the wheel. This one's a lot better, and I couldn't care less if they've used it in other models. I guess I'm not sufficiently elitist.

Can't say I'm a fan of the new steering wheel, but really is anyone surprised this is in the Sonic also?

I don't mind the 2012 wheel. I test drove a 2011 and never really took much notice. I guess as long as it functions and stears the car I am happy. I wish it would tilt higher though. From my viewing angle the guages are partially hidden. But then the HUD makes up for that.

If you don't have a 12 then it shouldn't matter what they do, but hey, I know you have to complain about something.
Many other actual owners rave about the conceptual designed steering wheel the 2010 and 11 Gen5's were equiped with in reviews. Some many other on lookers actually believe, the people who are investing in the purchase of a product, and have extensive experiences with the products, are the real proffessionals ...........Obviously you've been dazzled and razzled to accept and admit that it is perfectly alright to cheapen the one most single important object that you might see and feel....just before you hit a tree .............at nine hundred miles per hour .........performing. But hey............its apparent you're not worrying about yourself..........so why should we. JK friend............. but aren't steering the automobile ......wheels also performance parts?

+1 well said sir!

if the steering wheel is the main complaint, the 2012 Camaro is in good shape.

How about bitching about something that actually matters like the fact that the Mustang has a 10x better interior, we didn't get afterburner taillights and a Fisherprice Cozy Coupe shares the same dash as our Camaro, it's a freaking steering wheel. You're not going to die because they changed it.

It isn't the gripe's that materially important, its want consumers see that is evidently being changed for reasons other than supposive styling cues, which in fact are found latter to be admitted cost cutting measures. Eventually as history has proven standardizes everything until something unique becomes ordinarily mundane and the buying interests are lost..............certainly prices aren't being lowered portionally as these unique quailties are being sacrificed. Heck if automobile features are simply going to mirror one another............whats the point of building more than one model. It seems that it would be easier ( cost efficient) to simply build a series of automobile's on the same platform with the same general appearance and give then different names..............never mind, that tactic has already been tried by the think tanks.........Chevy Caprice aka Buick Roadmaster. Camaro's, Firebirds, ie. Why do you suppose Ford and the other makers of illusions on wheels ( the ones you believe build better cars) that floated past a sinking ship just a mere year or so ago...........are still sailing high and dry. Carry on...........

First off, I hate blocks of text. Paragraphs are your friend. Not directed just towards you, there are a few people here who apparently don't know what the "Return" key on their keyboard is for.

And utilizing the same steering wheel pales in comparison to the rebadging fiasco that Detroit had in the 80s and 90s. It's hardly a valid comparison.

Ive owned both, and i like the 2012 wheel. A copy off other models? sure..but it feels better, and flows more nicely. The other wheel was big, and had gaudy plastic in the center. I only wish they kept the 2010 camaro wording on the wheel- otherwise..i think they did right here. drive one, before you complain.
