Oil change in a Camaro 101. I realized I couldn't fit under the car, not that hard to figure out. Go into shop and waaaabammo I see (2) 8 foot long 2 x 6's hmmmmm have saw, cut 2 x 6 in half and nail together to make (2) 4 foot long 4 x 6. (Go ahead and flame me because I didn't weight test the lumber) Then I see two 8 inch cinder blocks (flame again - un tested cinder blocks) You would never believe this but you can actually drive a camaro up on the above without damage. (if you are one of the people that has issues parking straight go to the dealer - this is beyond you). Crawl under car ( yes you will get your back dirty, it's ok, washing machines are made to fix that) unscrew drain plug - catch oil in pan or drain on the ground. (flame me non eco friendly to drain oil on ground and makes washing machine work harder) When oil drained screw plug back in (very important for oil retention system). Didn't know the Camaro had one of those did you? Unscrew oil filter - lefty loosie rightie tightie. screw on new filter. Add oil to engine about 7 quarts-ish (flame me because I didn't measure it to the drop) Put in neutral and allow car to back off ramps. (use spotter if you feel the need and don't turn the wheel) Start car allow to run for a bit and turn off motor, check oil level and add to the fill line. "it ain't rocket science"

Does anyone know if the V6 (I have a 1LT) also uses Synthetic Oil or not? I know the V8 is a much different animal, but I would assume the oil used could be the same for either vehicle.

Comes with synthetic blend, but if you love you baby, go full synthetic!

V6 has a paper filter, no oil wrench needed. Filter is in the engine bay, you only a socket and torque wrench.
