I would actually go in order but I would leave the 4th out.

4th gen just looked like it wanted to be a Corvette so bad but couldn't. I didn't like it at all. Zero homage to it's heritage.

Haha! You should drive one and then drive a Vette. The 4th gens are "the next level down" as they should be compared to driving a Vette.

I agree. As it should be. I was mainly talking about looks though. And again, as it should be.

But to me it just seemed the 4th gens style was terrible.

1st gen is the best, but the 2cd gen is a strong second IMO.

And you know what? You are definitely not alone. FBodfather and I have had many looooooooooooong emails back and forth over the years discussing the good and bad regarding the 4th gens.

Looks was what I had heard about most from Camaro enthusiasts when it came to complaining about the 4th gens. I love the curves on them though. Some day I hope I can show you how the 4th gen Camaros curves are more than meets the eye at quick glance. Performance, reliability and comfort however, they are very hard to beat!

early 4th gens kinda paid homage to 3rd gen styling. But I agree, late 4th gens look like no other camaro, they look more like a Chrysler Concorde. Pontiac had the better styling from 98-02 IMVHO.

I was always a kid into cars at a very young age. When I was 8 yrs old my dads friend got a brand new Z28 and I fell in love at that point on. When I was 18 I bought a used Z28. Then life happened etc etc, Sold the car and then had vettes and other gens since then but my heart was always with the 1st gen. Now in my mid-life crissis it's TIME for another 1st gen REBORN....

I can't speak to performance as i've never driven one. I drove a v6 Firebird but that's it.

I have to disagree with you about the 4th gens not looking like any other models. It actually paid tribute to the 1st gens with it's coke bottle side profiles. The SS hoods had an air intake styling that was similar to the 1979 Z/28 and the tail lights did have some similarities to the late 2nd gen and all the 3rd gens.

Nothing meaner looking than a black 98-02 WS6 Trans-Am!

First Gen.

The first gen. is my favorite because if it was not for the first gen. then no fifth gen. would be, all time favorite 1967 Black Panther Camaro, Black exterior and gold interior.......... Google it (Black Panther Camaro 1967) a very rare car.....:confu sed0068:

1st gen was cramped and uncomfortable. 2nd gen too much emissions. 3rd Gen had windows where crooks stuck hand down without breaking and they started with just a screwdriver. 4th I know nothing....

1st gen of course

My love of the Camaro started with the 69, but what's wierd is my favorite car so far is my white 86 IROC-Z. It was a cool time in my life, graduating high school and I met my wife of almost 19 years in that car. I hope my 5th gen brings some kind of memories of that IROC. I have owned more than one of every gen however and I am a certifed Camaro freak, especially Z28S.

Third gens for me Second would be the first gen, third would be the fourth gens, especially with the SS hood on them Never cared for the 2nd gens. Every now and then one passes me by and I think it looks good, but the rest I think look terrible.
