Plus the car looks cool in it's own right despite being completely electric.
The Volt will be a game-changer...but there's a good chance it won't save GM. What is will do, however, is change perceptions about GM. People will be interested in one and head over to their Chevy dealers to see one, see the $40k sticker price, and if they can't afford it, they'll be steered over to a 45 MPG Cruze...or...a rumored 35 MPG Malibu...

Even if it is a showroom draw, at least they'll be in the dealership already and check out the alternatives. Could be a win/win regardless. For those adamant about going green, they'll find a way to get the Volt just as we're finding a way to get the Camaro.

What you're missing is the public WANTS the Camaro; the government wants the green vehicles...

Nice thread Scott. I pray your little girl gets some good news. I'm glad GM was able to speed your car thru the process so your little grl can get it faster considering your condition. All we can do now is pray for her and keep on praying that she gets healed from this terrible affliction. And all of us should be patient. Our cars are being looked over many times over for them to get it right before they ship..

True, but think of it this way, if the government has what they want and GM becomes viable again, GM can then allocate resources to keeping car enthusiasts happy without government intervention or scathing public ridicule/criticism. It's still a win/win all around.

All I'm saying is don't you think pouring millions, hundreds of millions?, into green vehicles that we're not even sure the public en masse even wants, is just a little bit counter-productive? When someone force feeds you "what's good for you" how desperate is the impulse to spit it out? I simply think something as easy as public polling would go a long way towards showing GM possibly the best way to recovery. God forbid someone asks the public what they're willing to spend their money on instead of telling them what they should be spending it on.

Nice vid im glad to see she is having fun with her Friends
She was before she got sick all the time. They gave her new blood last Friday and that will keep her bouncing around for 3-5 days sometimes. This is the second time they have had to do it. By Wednesday-Thursday this week she will be slowed down alot, especially this Thursday night when they do the push Chemo. She may sleep the entire day on Friday like she did last time they did this.

Brit Brit as we call her was just not over yesterday when they made the movie. The other girls where sisters, Pauly Ann and Kendra. Racheal the older girl is home on spring break from college. She has been a very good friend of the family for the last 3 years since we moved her. She is in our church and helped Stephanie get confirmed into the Catholic Church.
