I got to the track around 830ish-9 and then waited till 1030 to get a dam pass with all the crap that kept happening.... what did the red SS run?!

The SS Ran a 13.9 at 107 MPH. He couldnt hook up at all and every pass he kept letting more air out of the back tires so by the end of the night he probably done a little better.
All he had was a Intake and axleback

Guys,

I'll scan in my timeslip tomorrow (been travelling for work!) but I ran at Pony Wars in Valdosta 2 weeks ago.

Kinda dissapointed in my times - best I could run was a 14.5 @ 98mph.
When I upload the slip I'll include all the details so you can let me know how I can improve (getting smaller wheels out back is a start!)
Only performance mods I have is MRT V2, Airaid V2 intake, and a lot of wheel hop...

Be sure to include when and where you ran. Also, auto or manual. What size tire and brand too. All these are factors. Know when and where is so that we know the weather conditions which is huge. I just got done helping someone else thru countless PM's to help them the next time out at the track. I am no expert but I certainly ask plenty of questions and read plenty of information.

Wonder if some guys are confusing wheel hop with leaving on the trac control and stabiltrak?

I got to post the picture my friend took while behind my car on the staring line, but the dotted tire marks and shaking car would suggest wheel hop...

That is true TC on. However, I would think if you have the proper tires to hook up with you should be able to leave the TC off and get a better launch. This way you're getting everything the engine has to offer to the ground.

I should know after Sunday, as I now have my drag radials and want to see what that does for traction.

All though with all that said, I know one of our original founders for V6 power (scrming) always ran with TC on and he had the same drag radials I am running. I shall see soon enough.

I run at PBIR with both TC and ST off. It just depends on the track prep. The OE tires need heat though!

Hmmmm... Sunday.... I do have to work in the morning... weather forecast keeps changing... I haven't run the new tune at the track yet.... hmmmmm....

And yes, I always left the TC on... even if i was hooking good... I also figured it was a bit of a safety net, in case the tires broke loose once the car got moving... I ALWAYS get out of the throttle if I start to spin... Even in the Flex which is AWD, i leave the TC on...

I've ran with TC on and off, with DRs, my 19" all season stock tires and Goodyear summer tires.

If any of the tires broke lose with TC off I couldn't recover fast enough and it was a wasted run.

My best 60' (1.980) was with the Goodyear summer tires with TC on and the temp was 37* that day with the sun shining.

After 3 runs, the sun went away and everyone struggled hooking up. It seemed with the sun out, it heated the track up just enough.

So sounds like TC ON on is a good idea. I always thought that was the case but wasn't sure what everyone else was doing. I was just doing it for a safety thing more than anything. Also what DR's do you guys suggest? By buddy got new wheels on his Corvette and if the stock Corvette wheels fit on the Camaro I'm going to buy some DR's for them.
