ya i would be careful, as mention a well tuned one is pretty fast. but for the most part i wont expect to come across a newer model tuned BMW. they are kind of rare if you ask me.

That's what I got for my 17 year old. With only two seats we don't have to worry about her driving around a bunch of other kids. Also the car is bad fast and I like driving it as well. I did the GM Stage 2 along with Magnaflow 3" exhaust. So now it puts out around 300hp/325tq, and can take my SS off the line and probably take it in the 1/8 mile. They are a blast to drive, GM did an amazing job building these cars.

Wish they still made the Kappa platform cars.

I looked heavily into 135 and 335s just recently, plus I have driven the 335 and 535.

Realize that 135s and 335s put down about 300rwhp stock on a dyno. Not 300 "crank" as advertised, but about 300 at the actual wheels. This is stock from the factory, no tunes. A moderate tune can up that power to 375 or more, no mods. Then consider the relatively lightweight 135 chassi...

Depends.. A friend of mine in my car club has a tricked out 135i and it runs 12.8 consistently.

Camaro SS vs 135i.
You need to get some better tires and improve your 60' time. With a 113 mph trap speed, you should be running at least mid 12s.

And if your running the stock Pirellis launch real easy. A slow easily launch is faster than wheel spinning. Try a knee jerk launch without adding any additional gas (don't push the gas pedal all the way down until the car is alreay moving off the line).

I used to have a 335i, granted it was the sedan, but it was pretty quick. My SS feels more powerful, but man, those little BMW's are packed with some power.

i was strongly considering a 135i back when i bought my 530i instead for space (i'm a big guy). then when i decided to get a fast car again i realized just how hideous the 135i is. they can be 8s cars for all i care, but IMO a dude driving an 135i looks kind of silly

I've got a procede v4 chipped 335xi as my daily driver. Here in CO (6000 ft) the bmw would walk all over my stock SS. Hence the reason the turbonetics kit is already ordered I honestly don't know what it be like closer to sea level but up here the turbos make a world of difference!

Mine made 265hp/272tq stock so that's not totally accurate, at least in my experience.

Mine is also AWD.

Hmm, well the AWD may account for it, as the numbers the non-awd version indicate that more than 300 at the crank is likely.
