Exactly that is what drives people up the wall! Why tease with something you cant have? Why not offer it from the get go and come out with something different next year that looks drop dead gorgeous too?

I get the "showing dusk blue at the sema for feedback" but the "lock but dont touch" is just plain dumb...

(Sigh)....its an excellent car so I'm really not that upset. It is now a good time for chevy to hear what some potential owners would like to have in their camaro. One other note; I understand some of the realities of producing cars, in that you have to combine resources in order to make production economical for both the company and the buying public. I just want to remind our community that we are not buying Impalas, or cruze or equinox. We are into camaros....and thus camaros should shout excitement. At least consider some colors that could cross over onto other lines and express excitement and passion at the same time.

x 15,000 --

have you read anything about our 'camaro disciples'???

Please read up on them - as far as I know, Camaro is the only car line with a group of 15 of your fellow enthusiasts that work with us on the car........

We are well aware that the Camaro is not an Impala or an Equinox - that does not, however, change the fact that we build them in the same assembly plant.

Ok..but how about at least reviving colors we already have for the ZL1.

Many of us would be silenced about color choices with the simple addition of two colors that are already validated on the Camaro..Synergy Green, and ABM, both of which we have seen on mules anyway..so its a super tease to see the color you love, only to have it taken away.
I and others would be willing to pay 1000.00 extra for Synergy green or ABM, so extra cost colors that are validated might not be a bad idea?

When i ordered my first camaro back in 2009 I knew exactly what color i wanted and that was ABM. I hadn't even seen the color in person and i knew i had to have it. I want to place an order for a 2012 camaro but I cant because all the colors offered right now aren't doing it for me. We are now back to the boring color pallet offered by all other manufactures.

:emoticon7:

soooooooooooo.............

you were driving an ABM Camaro -

.............and you now have a Camry...........

there's gotta be a story behind that one........

Black is our best seller - White's right up there and allows you to do various stripes......I would not call Victory Red or IOM or Rally Yellow boring colors -

Silver does very well -- and it's a perennial best seller........

We dropped Cyber Gray - and there was an outcry - it's a good seller, so we're bringing back Ashen Gray for those who want that look.......

Red Jewel Metallic met a similar fate as Cyber Gray (the tsunami -- ) - and we're bringing back a brighter metallic red - in Crystal Red Tintcoat....

We've beat the ABM color issue to death - the only way I can explain it: it's the color that lots of people wish their neighbor would buy......

Again - if I asked 100 people individually to put together what they individually think the color pallette should be -- we would STILL have just as many people upset because their color wasn't in there.......

Color is very subjective - and we will never get 100 percent to agree on what should be in the pallette....even if we increased the pallette to 20 colors (which we can't)

(...pssst.....WHITE Camry?????

....just sayin.........

Did anyone ever confirm if we can order Ashen Gray from the get go?
Also is there any car out at the dealers that features Ashen Gray? I really want to see it first in person before buying....

In time before the dealer puts in my order on the 29th?
Will it be a blueish gray or a brownish gray? Any additional adjectives describing this color would be helpfull!

(I know at times it can be difficult dealing with all these obsessed car guys)

Even though you put your order in on Oct 29th - we are not going to start building ZL1s for the public until after the first of the year - you should have plenty of time to change the color should you so desire.....

Do not worry.

You know why abm has been beat to death? its really the only color that anyone has been REAL vocal about... How many GM cars (i really dont know) still can be bought in ABM?
I just seen a HHR the other day in abm... Not sure the year...
Isn't there not trucks in abm? Bring the silly color back... for crying out loud..
It was dropped prematurely anyway.. On the camaro it never really got a chance to sell.... How long of a time frame was it given to fall for 3% before it was pulled?... ( irealize that is a simplistic way of looking at it) Please father...do some string pulling from higher ups on this for all concerned...
I gave up on the ABM but so many people on C5 want it back...
There HAD to be a mistake somewhere... The ABM color thread is the most popular color thread on C5... it is probably the most controversial color other than IOM..... and probably more controversial than IOM in fact...
Do some string pulling...do some screaming...
all any of the higher ups would have to do is spend a day on C5 to realize that ABM is truly missed.... They could spend 10 min in the ABM color thread to realize that..
Have GM bring it back as a "test" for 2012 and 2013.... and see..
IF it truly drops to 3% it WONT. I do not believe that history repeats itself..
How did all the other Chevy vehicles painted in ABM do? Did all those cars suffer a 3% loss? If so, then was did the color continue on ABM for THOSE other newer chevy models and not camaro. Something don't sound right about that?
