HELP w/ price please

I am looking at selling my 2010 Camaro 2SS RS with 6700 miles on it. What would be a fair asking price? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance!!

are their any modifications to it or is it completely stock? I might suggest going to Edmonds.com and filling out their used car price check system thing. It will give you a good idea what your car might go for.

Sorry to hear that you have to sell her.

I just about spit out my beer when I saw your avatar. That is priceless!! No MODS just good ol' factory. I tried NADA but it did not take a lot of details so I was not able to get a good idea of the selling price. I figured this was the forum that would give me a good shake. What sucks is that i do not have to sell her, but the payment just doesn't seem to be worth it with 3 kids. Once I kick them out of the house, I will get a new one. LOL

Mk. Fair enough. What's your zip code. I can look up the used pricing for you.

I would start at $31,000 and go from there. It's easy to drop the price but near impossible to raise it.

kbb.com will give you a private party value also.

I'd agree with starting around $31K. $28K is more like a wholesale value.

My opinion only. KKB, Edmonds, etc., don't mean squat. They might get you in the ballpark but what you can get is what someone is willing to pay and that is reality. Those web sites like KKB and Edmonds are about selling advertising and that is it, think about it.

There is a brand new 2011 2SS coupe on ebay for 5,200 off msrp. This would also have the full factory warranty. Also the autotrader instant trade in would be around 26,500. So at least you know its worth more than that.

This is where I would start as well. I had a 1SS with 14k miles. Priced it at $27k and it sold within 3 days. I imagine a lower miles 2SS would go for at least $2-3K more.

I'm looking to buy a 2010 2SS, so I've seen a LOT of prices and tons of cars for sale.

While I'm no expert, what I can tell you is that I'm seeing a lot of cars up in the $30k-$31k asking price that are for sale.

They've been for sale for a while with some interest but no buyers.

The ones I HAVE seen sell are the ones in the 26-28k price range, even with lower miles. (And I'm shocked by how many there are like yours with so few miles on them.)

I've even seen a few with some really nice mods on them for the same or less than the $30-$31k range.

If you think about it, in a cosmic sense it's not really worth anything until the exact moment of transaction.

Up to that point, the value is completely speculative.

Basically, I'm saying it's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it.

Sure, someone can tell you it's worth a million dollars, but unless you get someone to hand you a million bucks, it's not worth anything.

At the end of the day, it's all about finding someone willing to part with their hard earned cash in exchange for your (and by your I mean any car for sale, not yours personally) vehicle and your willingness to sell it at a given price.

If you want to sell it at $25k and someone buys it, it was worth $25k. If you want to sell it at $31k and someone doesn't buy it, what's it worth then?

Good luck with the sale either way. It's a great looking car.

depends how quick you want to move it. 28-29k if you want to move quick 30-31k if you can wait a little.

im in the market for a camaro and have been looking around. Its crazy how some people are asking more for a 2010 1ss then a 2012 brand new 2ss 45th anniversary.

I am always open to offers but I thought it was a fair price for a 2SS/RS with only 6700 miles.(actually it is about 6513 miles) There is no way I will go below 28,500 though. Just FYI. Thanks for all the input from everyone. I will hate to see her go, but ya got to do, what cha got to do.
