Isn't it amazing how everyone has switched their expected range up $10,000 smackers from a few months ago! Damn... now lets see, if you figure that over the remaining driving time you get.......... not too shabby.

Co Title anyone? Just kidding.... just kidding.....

It always seems to me that the Camaro is a few thousands more than the Mustink so if the GT500 starts at 48K then I think the Zl1 will be about 50K to 52K starting. I saw just the other day at a Ford dealer 2 GT500s on the showroom floor, one was for about 49K with only the glass roof and a dealer markup of 5K and the other had the track pack with Recaro seats and with a dealer markup of 5k also at 61K. Those both had rediculous markups even today.

About $55,000 starting... a bit more than a GT500 starts at... just like an SS is a bit more than a GT starts at.

I don't know who is more nuts... the people thinking $45,000 or the people thinking $65,000... Lets put in this way, If GM expects this car to be a success, it can not be $65,000.

Lets just wait a few more weeks and see...

This doesnt count. There are ALWAYS scammer dealers and fair dealers.... its up to the buyer to sniff out the fair ones.

MSRP is MSRP... The "S" is the kicker... SUGGESTED

Exactly the point I have been trying to make all weekend!
The 5.8L has been confirmed for 2013 so expect to see 620hp.
HOW can people on this forum actually think Chevy would be stupid enough to MSRP the ZL1 at 65K?
It is COMMON knowledge that the Corvette is TOP dog in Chevrolet, thats why the ZL1 is TWENTY seconds slower at the Nurburgring, and THAT is why it will not compete with Corvette in the Price department.
Why would I or anyone else pay 65K when we can get almost the exact same performance for 50K from Ford?
Look I'm a Chevy guy just like everyone else here, but there is NO WAY i'm going to pay 65K for a CAMARO! And honestly, Chevy knows this, I think there are just a few guys on here who don't really understand that.

Well, Im with you SB....

This car could very well be a bargain at 65K, but it still looks an awfull lot like a 25K LT camaro.

IMO anything over 55K is going to make a lot of people start looking at other options.

Couldn't agree with you more WP!
I'm not saying anything bad about the ZL1, I'm just saying it's not a 65K car, and people are out of their minds if they think Chevy is going to compete against itself with the GS and CTS-V and LOSE lots of SALES to the 50K GT500.
Me being one of them, I would MUCH rather have a Chevy, but I'm not going to pay an EXTRA 15 GRAND for essentially the same thing no matter how much I love the LS engines. I would rather pick up a used ZO6 and OWN ZL1's all day while not going over the 50K range.

If it's even close to 60K, I'm seriously thinking about the CTS-V Coupe

For what the ZL1 is bringing to the table I hope no one complains about the MSRP. I for one will not complain or make an argument against Chevrolet if it is outside of my affordability. The car is truely a world class modern marvel, unlike anything we have previously seen in a Camaro.

JMHO but I think they are going after a new "market".
