"In the meantime I'm relegated to driving a rental pick up truck. Ridiculous!"

And this is part of your Warrantee. Why is this such a tragic situation?GM provided you with a vehicle to use while your Camaro is getting fixed.

Heck, with the complexity of today's vehicles, it is bound to happen. No matter which Manufacturer - Bugatti-Bentley-Ferrari- Toyota - Honda- GM - Ford - Hyundai - VW - etc.

It has happened to all of them at one time or another. Lighten up a bit, my friend and enjoy life. You will have plenty of good experiences driving your Camaro. Warrantees didn't used to be this good.

Shoot, 2 days after purchase I had my Camaro in service for overnight!! The ECM went bad!! So they had to reprogram the computer afterwards!! Also the New Car sales provided me a rental car till it was fixed!! With mass produced parts, one of the parts is bound to be faulty from the manufacture!! Atleast it is found and can be replaced!!

You need to invest a little brain power into this and figure out what code registered when the CEL illuminated. Simply That way you can determine where the issue is and press for resolution.

as a consumer with a brand new vehicle he should not have to do anything. I work in an automotive assembly plant and there is no excuse for this to happen. Maybe thats why toyota is doing better? I will still buy one of these cars this spring but if this was my car id be ticked off.

I pulled out of the dealer with a brand new Chevy, went two blocks, and the "Service Airbag Soon" light came on.
O the humanity.

At least your car didn't have a sticking accelerator pedal.

wondering if you would have the same whiney attitude if it was your Corolla having the same "issues". Guess you have never had any real "issues" in life if this has your panties in a twist.

In many industries, it's called 'infant mortality'.
In other words, with many products, if some is going to go wrong, it will occur in the first 30 days or so as the product goes into service.

It's entirely normal. No matter what you build, you won't know if everuything is going to work perfectly until you try it.

Just be glad it isn't a Ford PowerJoke. You would have to get used to it real quick.
