Nope. As others said you get a recap in the intro and if you youtube the story of the first one you get enough info to piece it together.

I just need to get moved into my new home so I can get this sucker unpacked and start playing.

Not sure about Nightwing, but pre-Nightwing, Robin, made an appearance and wanted to tag along.

Im assuming both Robin and Nightwing will have their own mini campaigns just like Catwomen had hers (I hope) but it looks like atm they will be only challenge map characters which sucks, i hope im wrong

Game is awesome! Night wing pack and robin pack (if you didn't buy at best buy) are released in November!

Won't be playing night wing anytime soon though! Trying to beat arkham city before uncharted 3 comes out on Tuesday!

Good thing the dates are spread out, gives me time to spread out the funds. In between those dates I'll be busy with Assassins.

Play asylum first if only because Its an amazing game. I liked it a little bit more than city but they are both great.
