Jeff,

I still need to send you the dual valve PCV oil separating system to use as well. Keep forgetting!

I think messaging the OE pump will be the only option till the V8 goes DI.... even then, that pump probably won't mount on the LLT. But, the injectors just might....

I was thinking that if the LLT has a mechanical pressure regulator that it may need some work as well to increase it's max pressure. I don't have any info on that though my guess is that Vince has probably tweaked that electrically to get what he could already. So, even if they can "squeeze" a bit more from the pump, the regulator may still limit the max fuel....
High Pressure Fuel Pump

The high pressure fuel pump is a mechanical one-cylinder design driven by an additional three lobe cam on the exhaust camshaft of bank 2. High pressure fuel is regulated by the high pressure fuel pump actuator, which is a part of the high pressure fuel pump. The high pressure fuel pump actuator is a magnetic actuator which controls the inlet valve of the high pressure fuel pump. The ECM provides battery voltage on the actuator high control circuit and ground on the actuator low control circuit. Both circuits are controlled through output drivers within the ECM. When deactivated, both drivers are disabled and the inlet valve is held open with spring pressure. When activated, the actuator low control circuit driver connects the low control circuit to ground, and the actuator high control circuit driver pulse-width modulates the high control circuit. The ECM uses the camshaft and the crankshaft position sensor inputs to synchronize the actuator with the position of each of the three camshaft lobes. The ECM regulates fuel pressure by adjusting the portion of each pump stroke that provides fuel to the fuel rail. The high pressure fuel pump also contains an integrated pressure relief valve.

It has been a little while since my last update and that is largely because we have been impatiently waiting on a different/new tuning solution to be released for the V6. We were not confident that the remote-Trifecta tuning (Our only option) was going to result in anything we would let leave the shop. We have been told there will be another option in the next month or so and will be the first to confirm it will allow us to safely make the power the car needs to make to market / sell a TT Kit.

Nothing new on the kit end of things as it has been complete for many months now awaiting tuning...

So, youhave a solution to the fueling problem then?

We think so but can't confirm until we can tune it.
We have spoken with a few different shops that have Trifecta and they have told us that the limitations are worth waiting on another option for this application.

Time will tell...

So, are you saying you've reached the limit of the table and need to extend the paramater and not the limit of the pump?

I thin what he is saying is that even with a new fuel pump, they need to be able to adjust the parameters beyond what the current tuning software will allow.

Honestly at this point it sounds like someone needs to come out with a programmable ECM for the LLT and then get all the tuning parameters setup to reflect the factory tune (if not better optimized). From there, do whatever you want and be done with it. Don't think it would be a cheap option but at least it would give every tuner the ability to tweak the engine based on the configuration of each individual car.

Now Whiteside Customs has a V6 build with some parts developed from the GretchenGotGrowl twin turbo project. Will be interesting to see if it will go over 400 rwhp.

It should easily since ours did with 3 pulls of the ugliest graphs anyone has ever seen lol. Properly tuned we would have been worrying about limiting power due to longevity concerns instead of making more
Jeff

PS -- *IF* the better tuning solution gets done within the next 2 months as expected we will have a "Final" number the same day

All these different options popping up, looking forward to what you can do if the tuning gets sorted out

I can't wait for the next six months to go by. I should have the funds, and the market should be ripe for the picking!! I love all the atention the LLT has been getting recently. I really want to thank all the people who and deadicating time and money in R&D for us.

Also does anyone know if any of the turbo builds as of now are M6? I'm just curious as to what the week part/parts are. So I can know what my investment is really going to be.

I'm seeing anywhere from $5k+ for single set up, and around $7k+ in the twins.
