Do you Carry Tools in Your Trunk?

Maybe I am just old school, ever since I have been driving I have felt like I am not wearing any pants and driving around in my drawers if I am not packing a whole box of tools and other junk in my trunk. I even have a heavy bottle jack back there just in case. I know the extra weight is a handicap even though I ran 13.9s with it loaded down. Just wondering if others have their trunks loaded down with tools stuff. Should I just give it up this practice and "Let it Be"?

Even though I don't do (I really need to start), it's a good idea to hold a small tool set in your trunk just in case something simple breaks or comes apart. This way you won't be completely stranded.

I do think an entire bottle jack and whole box of tools is a bit over kill though. Maybe when your going to the track it'd be fine, since your more likely to break something, but for everyday driving I think it's a bit too much.

I swore the first time I read through this you said, "I keep big bottle OF jack in my trunk"

I don't keep any tools in my trunck...all I have is a spare tire....which... I've never seen a jack or anything if I actually need to get my tire off....??

So maybe I should start

I only bring the tools when I go to the drag strip. I bring my small Kennedy box, 2 ton floor jack, and jack stands. It all gets unloaded at the track but I wouldn't go without at least those basics. As for normal street driving no I don't carry anything but my phone, and I should be able to get pretty much anything I need with that.

I actually did. Had it in there when I sent the car to Vengeance. Somewhere between Atlanta and Mobile my tire tool hit the bottle and shattered it.

My car smelled like whiskey for days. Even though I washed the entire trunk out. It sucked.
