I can see the guys who are buying this car strictly to race it being interested in this deal but like guys said before me, your car is going to get beat on badly.

Call me crazy but...sounds to me like they just want to race it themselves....All they need is a driver and "your car" and they have a perfect excuse to drag race with it to make money. Correct me if I am wrong...but is this engine not the same engine found in a 2006 C6 Corvette?

I had to laugh uncomfortably after reading most of this thread.

My Camaro won't be driven by ANYONE except myself and the wife (she doesn't hotrod) for at least the first 6 months or possibly longer. And a few of you are actually contemplating turning over your brand-new, not even broken in baby to complete strangers to use and abuse in the hopes of getting a BS discount on a supercharger when/if you get it back almost 4 months later? Think I just shat myself

Once I heard the remaining part of the thread, I bailed on the idea. Plus, never heard back from them after I told the car wouldnt be here until after June (thats when I expect to be ready to give it up).

Pick up and drop off my car, give me a loaner car, give me a new engine with a new supercharger, sign a "you break it, you buy it contract", make it emissions legal and I MIGHT think about it.

And I bet quite a few employees will be using it to show to their friends and family. Naturally each will have to be impressed more than once with how quickly it can roast the tires and bounce off the rev limiter (if its still hooked up). Nope...not worth the discount!

Vortech is a MAJOR organized and respectable company. Do you really think they would risk BAD internet press if they damaged or trashed a customers car that was on loan to them to build a supercharger kit? Lets get real here!

Do you really think they are going to bolt a supercharger on your car, put 750 miles on it and not hammer it? How can they dial in the performance of a supercharger without putting load on your car?

Basically, the pitch is that I'm supposed to sign a waiver for my non-street legal brand new supercharged Camaro after having to pay for someone else's R&D while a company beats on my car. That's a terrible sales pitch. Try again.

besides paying for the whole system they put on it you will have to probably replace the tires and probably the brake pads. You know they wont just keep it on the dyno they will be burning around the streets in it.

All i can picture in my head as your handing them the keys to your new camaro is the scene from Ferris Bueller's day off when they "valet" park his friend's dad's Ferrari.

Watch between 6 minutes and around 7 minutes 30 seconds and replace that ferrari with your Camaro. No Thanks!
