Zl1 Price- $48,500
Just had a great conversation with the VP of regional sales for Chevrolet for the MidWest area....
He basiaclly said that the Zl1 projected MSRP will be in the neigborhood of $48,500...Beating its main compeitor the Mustang Gt500 which base MSRP is $48,810...He confirmed that it will not cost in the rumored $60k range... Hope this help alleviate some fears of its costs... W |

With options I doubt you will find any ZL1's at that price. I have never seen a Shelby below $50 MSRP.

I sincerely doubt it. MSRP won't be under $50k.

In the 'Father I trust, all others must provide proof.
Don't know who's quote that is, but it applies here.

Be nice but you'll never find one with BASE MSRP! So more like 52-55k

'father already shot this price down with Motor Trend suggested a price near that several months ago. GM keeps saying "track ready" and what-not. IMO - the better idea, on price, is to take the GT500, add the track pack (or whatever that imp needs ) and probably a small premium (a thousand or so) to that. My calculations come in near $55K. Please don't get me wrong. I'd LOVE to see $48K, and GM would see a b**t-load of ZL1s, but with everything they've added into ZL1 and all the track time the development team has spent on it just makes me think prices are going to be in 'Vette territory..02...

I'm pretty sure the guy is allowed to give a "neighborhood" figure. For all anyone knows, "neighborhood" can mean +/- $10k lol. This news isn't really news, it's rumors and speculation.

Too low. I see tons of 2ss models on lots for over 40k. Why would anyone buy aloaded up 2ss when you could reach just a bit deeper for this beast.

We all know what we have in our modded cars. (Let's just say I would be well upside down in my car if I traded it in on a $48,000 ZL1!) I highly doubt that GM can build one with things we cannot even dream of for that...Superrcharged LSA engine, mag ride, 2-piece rotors, carbon fiber heat extractor in the hood, Alcantara on the seats, steering wheel and dash, beefed up suspension cradles and half shafts...naw...I don't see this car under $54,000 base. Hell, a 2SS with the Synergy kit is $47,000!
