I drive a 2011 SS. The car is a garage queen with 2500 miles for this summer. It looks and performs great but here is the catch. No matter which one of my friends gets near the car they are always looking for imperfections, something wrong, a scratch, a ding anything to point out to me. They walk around the car inspecting it but without fail the next comment is always, "hey is this supposed to be like this" No one ever says "what a ride, congratulations". Yes, I know I need new friends and I know they are jealous but this really gets old after a while. Two questions. Do you guys ever get any of this and if you do how do you handle it.

I've had a few people do that to me but its mainly less fortunate people. Being on the younger side a lot of my friends r still driving around a car similar to my winter beater and they don't like it.

Maybe just maybe, they already understand the relationship you're having with your ride, and see no need to offer you repeative accolades.............Its like the guy whose always bragging about having the sexiest GF or wife, even asking her to parade around in front of his buds while they are hanging around the house........and he never considers that they aren't blind. The point is, maybe they are giving you a little

by keeping their real thoughts and desires to themselves all awhile enjoying a closer look..........if the worst thing they're guilty of is pointing out a blemish on your cars rump, be thankful it isn't your ladyfriends arse. You might as well point the Jealous finger at yourself if they do

Tell them the car is for driving and they won't stay perfect. Now get the car/queen out of the garage and start driving it. Going to be winter real soon. My 2010 already had 30,000 miles of fun on it.

Yes.........and its also why proper corrective eyewear

is such a popular item with the aging...........We still enjoy looking at beautiful things.

Maybe they think GM isn't capable of making nice cars. I know some of my relatives have a misconception about American made cars in general. When I bought my camaro they kinda looked at me and my family like why the hell did u get a american made car. They aren't made well and you'll probably won't even see 100000 miles on that car. I could care less what they have to say. I told them it's my money I could spend it on whatever car I want. I know two of my cuzins who wanted a mustang and the other wanted a camaro too. Instead there parents bought one a BMW 3 series and the other got a infiniti g37. I guess what I'm trying to say is they are still under the impression that American made cars suck.
