Yes, it happens to me too. Only one person gives me shit, and it's my father a family member believe it or not. He calls it the Obama car. However, the rest of my family & friends love the car and have a lot of accolades.

Corvette buddy always telling me to sell her and get a vet so he can put all his z06 take offs on to it. Then when we go somewhere in it he just talks about how nice the ride is and comfortable the seats are. Not sure his racing seat was designed for a daily driver......

If they're serious, you need to find some new friends. My friends always compliment me on my Camaro and call her by name (Bella) or call her "Boo." (affectionately, as she's my boo

Not really. I mean all my friends are car people so they'll ask specific questions about certain parts of the car, but not in a condescending way.

No. A bunch of in-laws gave me nothing but kudos and 'wows' this past weekend upon seeing my ride for the first time.

i have the opposite happen to me all the time. i bought mine used ( the only i could afford it) and i see all the little imperfections and i think it just gives that much character. but everyone the sees my car friends family or strangers always thinks its brand new and perfect!! they never believe me when i tell them it is 2 yrs old. even when i show them the blemishes :-D
