All should agree that real driving is when you (the driver) is shifting gears. I understand that Chevy is trying to sell this vehicle to as many people as possible, but come on. If you can't drive manual than you should not be looking at a ZL1. I know people that can't even spell stick, and you know who you are. Automatic is a mistake created for non drivers. A person who has never driven a stick shift should not be in this elite club of owners of ZL1s.
Just an opinion.

You bought one!? How much did you end up paying for it? Last I checked you can only order one.

You have to attract to the masses when the price starts going up. Most people who can afford one will be upper in age. And since the tap-shift is very refined Im willing to bet most will opt for it. Especially those who are going to make this their daily driver. I prefer a 6 speed but I think I am the minority in this situation I believe.

I have been in the performance racing industry for most of my life and raced many different classes. Drag and Circle Track. Cars and Bikes.

I prefer a stick over an automatic when I want to hot rod around but since this is going to be my daily driver I have considered an automatic. The tap shift steering controls, I feel are a really cool option.

I will likely get a stick but I would not judge a person poorly if they got an automatic.

I would not be surprised if they sold more automatics than sticks.

While I agree about the Manuals I agree offering automatics was still relevant. As a person here at my work stated: "I've been driving a manual for years and I'm now old enough that I no longer wish to drive a manual." and he wouldn't even consider one now. Some people just get tired of it lol.
