I was a bit surprised and the lack of performance as well. Considering that I don't have the actual transmission details, hp / tq, weight etc it's a very high level estimate.

With some input from our C5 Forum engine experts, mayby they can better estimate the hp based on the engine specs provided and will help me to better estimate the performance.

I need the specs to be better defined in all areas.

I think my video with Robin Wright answers the question pretty well.

http://youtu.be/jKh4ImAgoIs

It'll run A/Stock and AA/Stock, it's designed to race for a specific class but leaves the door open enough so that it can be raced in other events. Check out the vid for a detailed look under the hood, in the cabin, the underbody and in the trunk.

The real question still remains: Will it beat the FR500CJ and Challenger DragPak? Robin Wright, project manager for the COPO, wouldn't say either way, but we're guessing that grin he had exudes confidence.

I'm no expert in the A/Stock and AA/Stock Racing Classes but if I'm reading the NHRA Class Indexes correctly, the AA/S Class falls in line with my estimate of 10.86 in the 1/4 & 6.94 in the 1/8 mile... right in-line with the class indexes.

I'll run another estimate when additional details are available.

http://www.nhra.com/competition/indexes.aspx

Class AA/S = 1/4 mile 10.90 and 1/8 mile 7.03

Whatever the index is, remember, you need to run at least 1 second under your index to be able to compete. If not they will lose every heads up race against the top cars in the class when they happen to run each other.

That's what I was thinking. But a sweet set up right out of the box.
