In fairness to the chrome abomination with the crooked RS and the redundant lettering, the metal screwed in mail slot cover was on a different car, that was on the one with all the polished stainless engine dress like Mike had posted last week...

Speaking of which, Mike, check the FB page, I think i photographed that engine compartment, if not, I'm sure someone else did and can post them here- not a pretty site in person. Looks like a transformer vomited inside the engine bay! The engine cover by itself is a decent design (although its only a series of flat pannels stacked; there's no sides) but the rest is way overboard, IMO.

how would it look powdercoated color of car, you can,t tell me that abs and all the other crap under hood , looks better...left exposed...looking in a 2010 camaro is like looking at all the wiring behind your tv...an engine cover and fuse cover just does not work..imo...was actually looking at pc the kit iom or mirror black with some iom pinstripes..they sell the kit unfinished..i will probably go look at kit on gulf coast as they are located there

Yeah, I checked the pix earlier... I didn't get any of it... maybe Rene did?

Remember, this is just MY opinion... doesn't mean its always right...

Joking aside on the design, it reminded me of a concert stage- where you have the flat, perminant stage, then the risers, stairs, venting etc that they add on for the head lining band.. if that makes any sense... just- several different textured pieces (some solid, some vented)... didn't look clean to me, more cluttered actually. As for the engine cover- I had seen it awhile ago right after I had mine painted, and was very disappointed, cuz I'd just spent the $$$ on mine... then I saw this one, and it was back lit in blue... looked great in the pictures...but in person... not so much. hard to describe in words... they layer the pieces, instead of bending or forming one solid piece... just looked like way too much going on to me...

but again, this is only my opinion.

I agree the engine needs some dress up, but I personally like the fine subtlty of the individual pieces... as much as I hate to admitt (cuz they were dicks to deal with) the "place that shall not be named" out of Chicago offers some nice polished pieces that I'm going to look more into. Tey made my fuse box cover, and although over priced, and as mentioned- dicks, the piece looks good and is holding up well. They offer a few other polished pieces to help shine it up, without going over board like this mess...

Never know tho- a little home improvement could make a world of difference
