I admit that I am not familiar with auto financing rates in Canada, but in the U.S. the rates are quite low now, and securing an auto loan may make financial sense.

In the U.S. the term "markup" with respect to automobile sales customarily refers to the additional amount that a dealer charges over the MSRP, and not the margin over the COGS and indirect expenses of the manufacturer.

I hope all you "need to have the ZL1 now" don't overpay
I'm going to wait for sure....I don't need to be the first on my street
remember Camaro SS 1st month buyers....now GM is discounting them... with 0%

I know the secondary market will be VERY soft on this car.

Ask anyone you bought a new ZR1 for $120k++ cant sell for $80k
remember secondary market will be needing to get a loan AND dealers won't be paying much when the ZL1 is one year old....

I know Boss owners who paid $5k over $44k can't get $38k on sell backs....

That doesn't mean your order will be picked up on that day. It could be June before GM accepts your allocation.

It appears that you might not understand the difference between a dealer being given an allocation and that allocation actually being slotted by GM to be picked up for production.

Just because a dealer has an allocation doesn't mean that that allocation will be slotted for pick up by GM in a consensus period any time soon. Dealers will find out on a month by month basis, as the slotted allocations in the consensus periods are released, when their allocations will be slotted by GM for production.

Real vets don't brag about it Drake. And he's right, just because your dealership has an allocation, doesn't mean your order will be pulled that early.
