He paid $350,000 (money went to charity) for it at the Barrett Jackson auto auction. He also owns several GM dealerships as well as a Chevrolet NASCAR team soo.... ummm yea... I think he happens to know a few people at GM as well.

Each dealer is getting one v6 car that is not part of the pre-orders. These will start arriving at dealerships soon. Probably next week. Some dealers did not participate in the pre-order system and will be getting cars they ordered shortly as well. Cars will likely be more readily available around the end of the year (just my guess). But it depends on how well the car is received by the general public. They seem to be universally adored so far so that could lead to a great deal of demand and they could be in short supply for longer. Who knows....
