I just punched my tracking number into the Chevy website to see where my 2012 Camaro is at. (Says shipped!!) I got a pop-up that was a link to a $1000 offer from Chevy. I had to put in my name and address and print out a certificate. Looks legit to me and it says I have to take delivery from dealer stock by 11/30/11 and I get $1,000 off.

1. Has anyone else seen or used this?

2. Can I use it on a special ordered car if it says “…from dealer stock…”?

3. My car has been en-route for a week now, think it will arrive before 11/30?

The print out has a serial number and pin number on it, along with my information...

If it says from dealer stock, you can't use it on one you ordered.

I used it for my wifes new car & yes had to be from dealer stock, at least that's what I was told from 3 different dealers here in AZ. Just check with your dealer to make sure..

When the car arrives, technically it will be in their dealer stock. I would try it if the car arrives in time.

That's what I was thinking too. Ask the dealer, when your car gets there, what's the stock number. Then when he gives you the stock number, politely tell him the car is in his stock and you want your discount.

Went to Chevrolet.com. Clicked on Owners, then Track Your Order. Brings you
to a page where you put in your tracking number. As it switched to that page,
the offer popped up. I assume it comes up randomly, as I've been to the same
link dozens of times over the last few weeks.

This very thread saved me $1000. I did this got the private offer and bought an IBM 2SS at Credit Union discount plus this $1000. Then I haggled some more. Picking up car Monday. Thanks VERY much. I would not have bought the car without this. Well that and a little unexpected insurance check, cha ching!!!

Talk to your dealer now. As long as you "BUY" the car in November the Private offer counts. If you "order" the car in November and get delivery in March the offer is no good. Good Luck.
