It may be buyer beware if he bought it from a private party, but since he bought it from a dealer that theory is out the window, the dealer has the responsibility to verify the validity of any badging on a vehicle. Say for example I put a 4x4 on a 2 wheel drive truck, would they be right in selling it as a 4x4 with the increased value? No.

Less than a week? You act as if this has been an ongoing thing for three years. Not to mention, you just bumped it. Cheerio

Inaccurate information covers them in case of a typo, not their trying to sell a RS when it is not, and it is not up to the buyer to verify this (though knowing what you are buying wouldn't hurt). This is fraud, and with fraud all bets of protection are off.

Don't do that, contact your states attorney general, or a private lawyer. You are entitled to much more than the used value of an RS package. Fraud voids all deals.

Far from it, just a joke. 99% of the people here have told me what I should do, including dealers. Waiting on their response to figure next step.

Seriously guys. The past 20 posts or so are just you two bickering. You both have differing opinions that's fine. But don't take over the thread.

IMO, the OP has a pretty solid case for small claims court and the BBB would jump on this in a second.

I assume you are waiting on your dealers response? I would talk to a lawyer just in case, at least this way you will know what to expect going in. Something sort of like this happened to my sister buying a Nissan some years back, talked to a lawyer then went to the dealer, suffice it to say what they offered and what they actually had to pay was like night and day. They stop the BS once they find you are on top of things. Remember a ounce of prevention.

Well,.I talked to big brother Chevy, and they contacted the dealer direct. Before I go the law route, I'm waiting for their response. By close of business tomorrow I will know what they say.
