When will Camaros arrive at the dealers?

Talked to my dealership today and they said they are picking up there camaro for the showroom on May 8th. He told me GM is delivering all the local dealership camaros to Citizens Bank Park in Phila. for the unveiling there.

the unveil date is may 6th. but they said that some people that had pre ordered cars should have theirs before that date

Again why would they offer april only incentives for what...2 people? I don't think Hendrick needs help with #1,2 since he paid WAY over sticker, and #3 goes to a GM employee.

That and GM telling me i'll have it in my hands by the 23rd makes me think we'll be seeing someone's ass in one by wed at the latest.

That is unless there is a recall of sorts and they are repairing them. In that case then we'll need some official reports on that.

Wasn't there a comment or two about April 15th being the date before all this unveiling stuff at the dealers on May 6th? I like April 15th better than May 6th even though I have to pay the IRS this year!:(

Because of this I feel GM would be BLINDSIDED by news stories and bad fans if they are ONLY offering a discount while you CANNOT even purchase a car. It would look absolutly horrible for GM if they did this.

Just my $.02 but again someone tell me if they feel different.

Our first ordered car is at the shipping yard in West Chicago....they are not being held up at the border!!

Maybe they feel that in the long rung they would get more sales...after all, this car we all anxiously await...is the 2010 Camaro...not the 2009 Camaro.

There are 15 or 16 training events (called a "ride and drive") for sales people, managers, etc, across the US on the Camaro. I can't say where or when these are, but they use CTF vehicles and then they are sent back to GM. they do not use production vehicles for this and I was told there would be no "drive' portion for this training...which means no one would actually get to drive a car, you'd just be able to sit in one.

There is no relationship to the Transformers movie and the reveal day and there is no way GM is holding back in getting cars to dealers. There will be presold orders burning gas very soon. It just takes time people!!!!

Cars have started arriving in NC....sort of......I know we all saw Rick Hendrick get his. My dealer said that their showroom car will be here for sure this week and after that the pre-orders will be arriving well before the May 6th unveiling. Hope this is true but the salesmen all went to a class on the Camaro last week and gave out all kinds of good info. They spoke with the Eastern Sales Manager from GM and they were also told that the CGM constraint was off and they were up to full production numbers now. Hopefully we will all be driving very soon.

I'll be checking my local dealers often for the Camaro. Sadly I'd think for a month or two all of the ones that will be on the lot will be V6t's :(.

My local dealer said by the 20th, I am on the call list around here so I will be one of the first to know when it arrives

My dealer says he is supposed to get his v6 dealer car for the May 6th date and plans on selling it right away. In the mean time we are his #1 pre-order and our order hasn't been pulled yet .... so he will have sold his v6 dealer car before our pre-ordered car even gets built !
