gm paint is pretty resilient when it comes to light scratches and marring from a dirty wash. i've never experienced problems.

just so people don't go nuts over what i just said, gm paint may be brittle when hit by a rock, but the clear coat is not very soft and handles contaminants much better than a lot of other paints.

I go overboard and still use grit guards and 2 buckets. I knock as much dirt, poop, etc off as I can with high pressure.

I'll remove any poop with ONR and a mirofiber before I do the rest of the car.

The last thing I do are my wheels. I empty the remaining ONR into a 3rd bucket and use an old microfiber on my wheels.

Like I said, I go overboard!!!
