I think there is only around 3lbs to save with a CF driveshaft on a Camaro. Maybe the ZL1 shaft is heavier - I'm not sure.

i think thier bluffing. something in the back of my mind just tells me there not going to hit 650. im not saying its not possible im just saying there not going to. 600 i see that but not 650.

So, something in the back of your mind is more reliable than a press release from the company? It would be very, very dumb for Ford to announce it has 650hp then drop it to 600. It would also be very dumb to design and produce an entirely new 5.8l v8 to put down numbers the 5.4 can easily make reliably.

Can you listen to yourself for a minute?

The previous 2011-2012 GT500 put down nearly 500 RWHP, with less displacement, a less efficient motor/blower combo and less cooling mods.

Think what you will man.

Ok, why dont you read my whole post before you start complaining about my mentality. I plainly said that all this means nothing because niether one is out yet so it all bench racing. I am a enthusiast. I have have had many different brand name performance cars. I tend to lean twards GM in alot of cases but I actually love the looks of the GT500 and hell Id love to have both the Z and 500 in my garage. My last few word was more of a sacastic poke at the whole thread. Like I said, non of this matters yet as niether one is out and in the hands of anyone besides the manufacture and I dont put any stock in manufacture times at all.

I would also point out that Ford also learned a painful lesson when the 1999 cobra didn't make the advertised 320hp... Which led to a factory fix and no cobra again until 2001. They would not do that again with this GT500.
