Having loads of fun here in Las Vegas. Watching the NHRA event. Was checking out the sportsman class and saw alot of nitto 555 tires. Not a single NT05R. I wonder if its because they were running smaller wheels.

Still hoping for an invite to SEMA.

Make a lot of deposits for me. I plan to withdraw everything when I arrive on the 9th. Then, I'll order my ZL1 or CTSV...

Too bad I'll miss SEMA and NHRA.

SEMA

Finally got an invite by AACStyle. They were able to provide exhibiters passes so can go anywhere anytime which is awesome. I owe them a lot and will probably go ahead and order their colored halos. I think I found someone who can install on island, so will see. Glad they were able to accomidate us at such late notice. Were heading out today to the Las Vegas Camaro Club for a cruise in to In and Out Burgers at 7pm. Should be a lot of fun along with other Hawaii Camaro owners joining us.

Tomarrow we will be go to SEMA and spending the whole day. Glad I brought my wheelchair so Lynda can push me to the exhibits.

Hoping to find the paddle shifters for the A6 camaro which would be awesome. If not, gotta order them when i get back home.

I'll try to take some pics and get them posted for all to see.

Spent all day at SEMA. Saw my first 5th gen T-Top, one with Lambo Doors, lots of special engine packages which included twin turbos, 427 and 454 builds, wide body 5th gen with 5xx size wheels, Oracle had many different light setups and the one on the door and dash was awesome. Sooo many camaros at the show. It was unbelievable and only saw 30 percent of the show. Gotta set up extra days next time. They even had a course out there where you could ride as a passenger while they did a drifting in the new Mustang 5.0s.

Dont have my cable to download the pics. Hopefully by this weekend.

We fly home wednesday so looking at things to purchase for my car.

For the guys with the auto trans, they have some custom paddle shifters by Hurst which works great by what some of the guys here that autocross.

Do you all know anywhere I can get taillights tinted? Is it legal here in Hawaii? I've seen a few people with them.

Not legal to alter, but you can take your chances when you do your safety inspection. I've had stations ask me to remove my clear cover off the license plate since nothing can obstruct the plates, even clear lenses. Some safety inspection stations will let minor things slide, unless they been previously cited like Lex Brodie or Jiffy Lube.

Windward Car Show

I think the car show this weekend is at Windward Mall. Thinking of probably rain again, but who knows. I gotta go to Ruby Tuesday for dinner. Havent eaten there in a long time.

Washed my car yesterday and found a dent in the front wheel well and have slight wrinkle on the side panel. I cant imagine how it could have been dented based on the location and its smooth where it got hit. Not to bad, but gotta find a pantless dent remover shop. Im hoping they will be able to fix it without hurting the paint.

Been having low pressure warning lights for the past 6 months and checked the tire and found 40lbs of pressure in the tire. Finally figured it out. Somehow the tmps system is saying my left front is low pressure, but found that it was actually the right front tire that was low. Gonna try swapping the wheels around.

Anyone running 9"+ wheels on the front? I noticed a clunk everytime I back out of the garage and make a full turn to the right. Is there any cables that my wheel might be hitting when you turn the wheel completely over? I zip tied my back e-brake to take care of the back wheel issue, but not sure what it is in the front.

PS. Saw autocross in LV and thought it was awesome. Only using 5.0 mustangs doing alot of drifting on the course (they were letting spectators ride in the passenge seat. I didnt think they could go that fast on the course. Also spoke w a guy running a 2011 Camaro (auto trans) autocrossing and using the new Hurst Paddle Shifters. Might buy the Hurst kit since its not that expensive to play around with.

Thanks,
Mike
