Changing Mufflers with SLP Pipes - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Hey guys,

A friend of mine has a complete SLP exhuast system with an x-pipe on his L99; he later decided that he wanted to change the mufflers only and put in Flowmasters

Will the Flowmaster mufflers fit with the SLP pipes?

please be specific, thanks

Judge – Unless you get somebody who’s done the swap, there’s no telling if you may need to flare the pipes or add a slight bend to them in order to get a Flowmaster muffler to fit in place. Which Flowmaster is your friend installing?

Thanks for the help flowman, my friend wants to install flowmaster outlaw mufflers on slp pipes.

And if i'm not mistaken, the SLP pipes are 3 inches

Judge - if your friend is installling just Outlaw mufflers, they start at 3" diameter and go to 3.5", 4", and 5".

If he was going to attempt to install our Outlaw Axle-Back kit on the end of his existing 3" exhaust he would have to make modifications to the Axle-Back inlet, because they are made to adapt to the factory 2.5".
